Surah Al Fatiha (سُّورَةُ الفَاتِحَة‎) is the opening chapter of the Holy Quran, consisting of seven verses (Ayat). It serves as a heartfelt supplication for guidance, lordship, and divine mercy.

In his work al-Ikhtisas, al-Shaykh al-Mufid also cites a hadith wherein the Prophet (s) affirms that the rewards for reciting Surah Al-Fatiha match those of reciting all Holy Scriptures.
